Under the motto ‘ Vorsprung durch Technik trifft Gelassenheit mit Stil’, Audi and René Lezard invited 600 guests to an event staged in a vacant warehouse in Hamburg’s Oberhafen district on the 28th November 2006. The event’s main focus was a 30-minute fashion show that showcased the René Lezard spring/ summer 2007 collections. Incorporated into the fashion show was a stage set that was revealed at the beginning of the fashion show and which presented Audi’s stunning new R8 sports coupé.
Seven video screens were utilised for the installation – for the period before the show they showed an abstract rendition of a sleeping city. At exactly 8 pm, a deafening roar of engines shattered the peace and the city woke up screen by screen. The movement of the screens ended with the central screen at the stage end of the space opening to reveal the R8 and the fashion show began.
For the 30 minutes of the fashion show, the screens showed another mood, concentrating on abstract textures. For the post-show party, the screens showed an event trailer that combined the two brands and the event motto.
We additionally supplied a large slide installation featuring René Lezard typographic content.
