Part of media giant Bertelsmann AG’s annual – and ambitious – Create Your Own Career recruitment drive, Talent Meets Bertelsmann 2010 offers bright young media hopefuls the chance to persuade industry heavyweights of their budding talents – with plenty of lateral thinking, innovative approaches and powerful presentations.

This year, plenty of high-potential graduates from the entire media spectrum braved the scorching mid-July heat to attend this exclusive event, split between the Bertelsmann office on Berlin’s grand boulevard Unter den Linden and, a few miles to the East, the equally imposing Café Moskau.

Together with lead agency Corporate Candy, flora&faunavisions was again once called to add focus AND glam to the event: building on the visual CI developed for Bertelsmann in 2008, ffv crafted a new overall look and theme for both the daytime location’s presentation panel and an outsized 8:3 screen at the party venue.

First up, a string of workshops at Unter den Linden threw a spotlight on mind and matter, cerebral acuity and creativity, when six groups of graduates devised a concept for Bertelsmann’s various divisions, followed by a presentation in front of the company’s board of directors.

Behind the scenes, flora&faunavisions ran an equally tight ship – responsible for the event’s show direction, the team guaranteed smooth runnings and placed the future media moguls centre stage in order to give them plenty of room to express their latest visions.

At night, participants were invited to reap the reward for this intense, high-pressure exercise: a glitzy award ceremony at Café Moskau featuring a new award trailer (and soundtrack) produced by the flora&faunavisions team.

Later on, both winners and losers danced the super-heated night – and the day’s stress – away to a powerful performance by soul legend Joy Denalane and a sizzling ffv live video set. Let’s have some fun, the future starts tomorrow!
