Taking over Berlin’s grand Friedrichstadtpalast for a weekend of focussed exchange and entertainment, German investment counselling heavyweight DVAG turned to flora&faunavisions for the right visual accents that would transform their in-house congress and awards ceremony into a memorable marathon of work and play highlights.

Putting fun first, the two-day event kicked off with the firm’s ‘Festival of Winners’, a celebration of DVAG’s best, smartest and most successful employees, followed by a lavish dinner and performance of the venue’s own YMA dance and variety show. Inspired by the show’s evocative colour palette, the ffv team crafted a unique theme of shades and tones for the DVAG brand and event.

To present the prize-winning staff in style, flora&faunavisions – with the capable support of our technology partner Ambion – not only devised a concept and choreography that would complement and enhance the night’s proceedings, but also  made the most of the world’s largest theatre stage (at 2,800 square metres) by coupling it with an equally impressive backdrop and screen. At 22x11 metres, it took a total of six projectors to get the resulting soft-edge projections just right!

During the awards ceremony, ffv made the most of this generous screen estate with a varied selection of films and clips (interspersed with dedicated PIP inserts of the night’s speeches and awards): from welcome loop and intro feature to the event’s eagle trophy reveal and the night’s grand finale.

Focused on business and training measures, Day 2 saw the flora&faunavisions team make equally good use of the venue’s outsize panorama screen for the congress and training part of the weekend. Picking up on the previous night’s colour scheme and design concept, albeit adjusted for the day’s more factual focus, ffv provided a welcome visual backdrop for live camera and presentation PIPs during speeches and lectures. The combined result: a varied, yet well-rounded work weekend guaranteed to resonate with the firm’s attendees for a long time to come.
