On the 14’th of February 2007, the German fashion label Hugo Boss staged an opulent PR event at the newly renovated Stadtgerichts Building in Litten Strasse, Berlin. This opulent event attracts guests from the world of cinema who are in town attending the Berlinale Film Festival as well as guests from the world of fashion, the press, opinion leaders and party people.
Staged at the Postfuhramt in Tucholsky Strasse in previous years, the event once again made use of Berlin’s rich portfolio of beautiful historical buildings. The Stadtgerichts Building is still very much an active court building, and has been undergoing extensive renovation for a considerable period of time. This was the first event to be able to take advantage of the very impressive renovation measures.
flora&faunavisions were asked by the event’s coordinators, aka MAKER GmbH, to come up with a lighting concept that for the most part would look as if it was original to the building. As a result, we were careful to suggest measures that would do without rigging and visible equipment. We were quick to utilise the areas that were not open to the public in order to place the lighting equipment.
We created a lighting concept that featured a beautiful deep red that was accentuated by the use of white and golden amber. Using the deep red as our base colour, we picked out architectural elements in the space as well as the very well designed event furniture and exquisite floral arrangements in white. We also provided programming that kept the space moving – slight movements and very subtle changes in the lighting took lace throughout the course of this very enjoyable and exclusive event.
