An exciting venture into previously unexplored territories, ffv teamed up with visiontrees and architect Lennart Günther (urban shapes) for Jägermeister’s trade fair presence at the Bar Convent Berlin 2011. Together we shaped the stand’s entire look and concept from stark, angular design right down to the featured materials, colours, furniture and fittings.

The concept: dominant bar meets stylish and inviting lounge; an oasis away from the crowds. A place to sit down, relax and – focus: on each lovingly selected detail, each herb and the potent liqueur itself.

Open and inviting, yet shut off from the world outside, the stand underscores this intriguing dichotomy between immediate kick and subtle flavours with a clever blend of striking strong lines and cosy appeal, modern design classics and vintage accents, matte black understatement and flashes of the brand’s trademark orange.

Covered in a thin layer of printed gauze, the stand’s exterior radiates subtle chic. Akin to a super stylish black box, it takes visitors away from the hall’s hustle and bustle and into a sleek, self-contained space designed to encourage rest and rediscovery. To this end, the concept focuses on Jägermeister’s traditional ingredients, with references to the drink’s special bouquet of select herbs, from bitter orange to galangal, popping up all over the stand: from detailed, naturalistic exterior illustrations to close-up encounters of their dried variants, on display in backlit bowls, right down to the flavourings’ fresh variants, scattered throughout as decorative and fragrant touches.

But see for yourselves: After pouring a good six months of our time into this beauty, we are really, truly proud of the result – and grateful for the fantastic feedback from client and visitors alike. Let’s drink to that!
