On the 2’nd of February 2006 in Berlin, Motorola launched the new SLVR device for the German market. flora&fauna visions created a PR event, held at a brand new restaurant/ hotel complex on Alexanderplatz. The ‘pièce de résistance’ was a series of giant Pani slide and laser projections on several prominent buildings at Alexanderplatz, including a full-format projection on the west facade of the Park Inn Hotel and the north side of the Kaufhof shopping complex.

The event consisted of two parts: the PR event itself, held at Shiro I Shiro. 300 invited guests and VIPs were treated to product presentations, food and drinks and music. flora&fauna visions created an installation involving slide projection, video projection and laser, which was tailor-made for the space.

At 9 pm, Motorola’s Head of Mobile Devices, Ralf Gerbershagen, took the stage. During his speech he pressed buttons on his SLVR, causing the spectacular outdoor projections to light up one by one.

This event was one in a series of similar European SLVR launch events, which took place throughout January and February in Moscow, London, Paris and Barcelona, amongst others.
