On the occasion of the opening of the IFA Trade Exhibition, one of Europe’s largest trade shows for consumer electronics, Panasonic held a large press event in Stockholm suite at the Messe Berlin. Our client, Cake – a London based event agency – had been charged with developing an event concept that moved away from the traditional approach to press events of this sort, which generally have a ‘purely informative’ character and are often based on purely factual PowerPoint presentations.
Cake chose to liven things up by creating a concept that included drama, utilised curtain track and kabuki reveals, extensive set designs, audience interactivity and visual trickery. flora&faunavisions, acting for Cake, supplied the complete technical coordination and execution of the event.
Working within tight brief, we planned, visualised and built a number of individual stage set elements that served to showcase the individual products and new technologies to be presented by Panasonic at the IFA 2006.
