For the GQ Men of the Year Award, flora&faunavisions has been the annual partner for the last 5 years. In collaboration with mach2media, flora&faunavisions designs the overall graphical concept and is responsible for its cross-medial implementation at the event. This includes designing the key visual, stage video concept, broadcast home media package, the scenic design and the night’s video content. The event takes place at the Komische Oper in Berlin and is always presented by famous film and TV personalities such as Barbara Schöneberger. As part of flora&faunavisions’s concept, huge outdoor LED walls are erected to welcome outstanding personalities of the national and international show business, music business, society, culture, sports and fashion worlds.
Inside the opera house, kinetic LED video walls put stars like Orlando Bloom, Donatella Versace, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Dries van Noten in the spotlight. Performances by the likes of Babylon Berlin Soundtrack Severjia ‘Zu Asche, Zu Staub’ and German singer Herbert Grönemeyer have served as the perfect entertainment for these VIP evenings.
GQ Men of the Year is a flora&faunavisions project where we are excited about the challenge every year. Being responsible for the whole event CI is a great opportunity to prove that our ideas work across all media from print, to television, to motion content and on stage. It is also proof that dressing up in the most fashionable way is lots of fun and unquestionably, right up our street!
